According to The New York Post, word on the street is Jesse L. Martin will be leaving NBC's Law & Order after 9 years, joining the cast back in 1999.
Martin's departure doesn't come too much as a surprise as just last year it was announced he would be playing the late Marvin Gaye in an upcoming movie entitled, 'Sexual Healing'.
While there is no final word on how Martin will be written off the show, buzz of his replacement is already underway. Anthony Anderson of The Shield is said to be his likely replacement.
Martin will appear in one last episode of L&O which is currently in it's 18th season and has at least 3 other movies on tap that are currently either in, pre or post-production.
