The Soul Train Music Awards has officially come to it's last stop.
After 21 years the awards show has been cancelled but a reason has not been given as to why the plug was pulled.
But I bet the fact that all the A-list recipients did not show up last year to receive their awards had something to do with it.
Before the BET Awards it was The Soul Train Awards that awarded our talented people of color in the music industry when The Grammy's neglected us. Now black folks in this same industry think they are too good to support.
Shame!
The dance show "Soul Train" which first aired in 1971 was cancelled in 2006 but not before making history as the longest-running show airing in first-run syndication.

I think this is unfortunate ... but I think you may be right. It's sad to watch the show and see the audience half empty. Hopefully they can come back strong next year.
Thanks for the comment love over at my site ... I'll definitely be checking you out. ;-)
