On May 19th, BET is set to premiere it's new dating show entitled, The Boot.
The premise of the show: four guys compete for two girls or vice-versa.
I hate to judge review a show before seeing it but sometimes you can just tell when a show is not a hit. And quite frankly, this don't sound like one. 
Turns out rap icon turn actor, MC Lyte plans to host the show which made me immediately hope it wasn't true. I love Lyte but doubt her hosting a dating show will be a good look or watch. Furthermore, I definitely don't think game shows (especially on BET) is the way to go when you are trying to be taken seriously as an actor. Or quite frankly serious PERIOD.

In the first round, our ladies put each one of these studs through a grueling – and highly personal – two-on-one interrogation. Based on their answers, two dudes get the boot while the other two move on.If you ask me, this show already needs to get 'the boot'.
Next, our ladies split up for one-on-one activities. Each of them takes one guy and puts him through the paces. Then they switch off to see which one measures up. A second elimination follows, and another dude gets booted.
Now, things get really interesting, because it’s time for… the Power Shift! Surprise. Our last man standing is in charge, and the ladies must compete for him. The battle reaches a fever-pitch as they try to manipulate, cajole and seduce their way into the top slot.
In the end, their man must decide… which girl gets to stay… and which one gets… The Boot!

IT A SHAME THAT THIS IS THE REVERSE OF A GOOD CONCEPT. IT'S ABOUT TIME WE STOPPED ALL OF THE NEGATIVITY. THE PROGRAM TENDS TO TAKE THE NEGATIVE SIDE OF ANY COMMENT BY THE PARTICIPANTS, IN THE GUISE OF AMUSEMENT. THERE IS ENOUGH NEDIA PROPIGATION OF ENMITY BWTWEEN BLACK MALES AND FEMALES ALREADY. YOUTH NEED A DIFFERENT MODEL. I SEE NOTHING POSITIVE OR INSTRUCTIVE ABOUT THE PROGRAM. PROBABLY YOUR INTENT. MS LYTE'S COMMENTS ARE INTRUSIVE,UNENTERTAING AND OFFENSIVE.
