Gay Headed To 2008 Beijing Olympics

Are you ready for the 2008 Beijing Olympics?

Tyson is.

Despite these grueling photos of Tyson Gay suffering a light muscle strain to the left hamstring sustained on Saturday during the US Olympic Trials, his manager confirmed he will still compete next month.

Arguably the fastest man in the world, Gay, according to his agent, will be participating in the men's 100m and the 4X100 relay but not before engaging in a 14 day active rest after which he will then resume normal training leading up the the event.

"Getting a gold medal is my biggest motivation and I want to save the best for last. My expectations are huge going into the Olympics," said Gay after qualifying for the 100m sprint clocking a 9.68 second run.

All I know is, Gay better get that rest because he will have to compete against not one but two Jamaican talents (Usain Bolt and Asafa Powell) come August.

The 2008 Beijing Olympics kicks off one month from today!
