U.S. Olympic Medalists...Oprah Wants You!

According to the New York Post, Oprah is rounding up all the U.S. Olympic medal winners for a taping of "The Oprah Winfrey Show".

Rumor has it the agents for all gold medalists have been contacted by O's producers requesting their client's presence for a show due to air on 9/11. Instead of focusing on the tragedy of 9/11, Oprah thought this would be a positive and patriotic way to acknowledge the seven year anniversary.

While 36 gold medals were won by U.S. that does not equal the total number of athletes to take home gold medals as some of the U.S. wins were team based. The largest team being The Redeem Team, which has 12 members.

While a spokesman for Oprah claims the show is not confirmed, Olympic gold medalist, Ronda Rousey has confirmed on her web site that she in fact will be on the show airing on 9/11.
