How Much 'Moore' Can One Take?

A good friend of mine says "pretty is a talent". And after watching a 2-hour episode of Criminal Minds tonight with actor, Shemar Moore, I would have to agree.

(above episode aired October 2006)

But I think Moore has more talent than meets the eye. I mean any brother who can have a successful run on a daytime soap(Y&R) while holding down being the host of the 106 & Park of yester-year(Soul Train), have a host of big screen flicks like Tyler Perry's Madea and a few primetime shows including CBS' Criminal Minds all while maintaining his D-list celebrity status is definitely a talented man.

I know the ladies are probably thinking right now "this boy ugly and that's why he's hating on Shemar's fine ass". And while there might be some truth there...you ladies gotta admit if ole pretty boy Moore was busted he wouldn't be on anybody's radar or network. Let alone CBS.

Sidebar: Speaking of CBS. Now I dont know about you but I don't normally do Caucasian Broadcasting System (CBS). No hate to the CBS people....but you guys know you just started doing right by black within the last decade. So its gonna take me a decade or so to warm up to you. Fair is fair. But I did give CBS a try last night and it was ok. Just ok.

Last night's episode took a typical serial killer theme yet gave it a good modern twist. As a child the killer suffered from abuse by his psycho Bible-thumpin dad and so now he not only kills people sinning but has a split personality as a result of the abuse. Where the writer(s) of this episode gets kudos is how they upgrade the story with some good ole internet computer camera spying crazy shit. Yeah..apparently the killer worked as a tech support and had the ability to look into people's home on their computer cameras after calling him for support. He then spies on them seeing their sins and then slaughtering them ala scripture. Well..you guys can figure out this ends.

I did after about 30 minutes into the show.

Luckily, Shemar was only in about 15 minutes of the 2 hour show(you know how they do black)....so he is hardly to blame for this mediocre episode.

I don't consider you a hater, just someone who might be taking the whole "black" and "white" thing to the wrong path. I tend to believe that one day "we" as a race will learn to stop pointing fingers and or taking something so personal thats not worth our time in the first place. But I too was not a fan of CBS until CSI and now Criminal Minds which is quite interesting to me because I didnt like it at first. My mom watched it faithfully and I never paid much attention to the shows she watches because she always watch corny shows but one night I was off from work and my mom was so into this particular show and it had my interest becuase of what was going on and then, BAM! There's Shemar Moore and I was suddenly thrown off. I thought I don't think I can get into this show and why is Shemar Moore here? And then I kept watching my moms was like but its really a good show and so I gave it a chance and was like,"I like the show". Though I am a Shemar Moore Fanatic I still didnt want to watch the show because I thought like always any actor/actress who leaves a show like soaps will not survive in the real world of TV because they are handicap. But to my surprise Shemar put a sock in my mouth.AND to clear things up Shemar Moore is always in the show you have to look at the show more often which I dont think you will but to sum it all up I have the Season One on DVD. So, I'm a bigggggggg fan of Criminal Minds now and not because of Shemar Moore. Well, good luck with your BLACK ON TV BLOG DUDE! IT SEEMS TO BE A NICE BLOG BY THE WAY.
