I confess. I watch daytime soaps.
ABC's One Life to Live catches my attention every now and then. Large in part due to Renee Goldsberry.
Renee plays the tough, articulate and beautiful attorney, Evangline Williamson, on the daytime soap and I must admit, I think she has what it takes to go far.
While many soap actors suffer from (what I like to call) the soap curse, a small few have beaten the curse and gone on to be HUGE in Hollywood. Does the name Demi Moore ring a bell? Before shedding that infamous tear in Ghost years back Demi was a regular on the daytime soap, General Hospital.
Renee strikes me as an actor with a lot of potential. While she does well with soaps, I'd like to see her in an evening sitcom of sort. Or maybe even a dramedy. Check her out in a scene from One Life To Live. And read up on some of Ms. Renee's accomplishments here.
Soaps can be so dramatic at times! I guess that's the point huh?

Sorry poo. Am a Y&R fan. CBS soaps are the best!
Y&R is CBS' only claim to fame. Good soap but All My Children is better! :)
Renee Goldsberry is indeed very talented. As of now her character Evangeline is in a coma because she and ABC were unable to come to terms for a new contract so she is no longer on the show. I do miss her on OLTL and who knows maybe one day she could be back.
Renee is not only a soap star but also a talented Broadway actress. She played Nala in The Lion King and was the original Nettie in The Color Purple. I believe she has the potential to go far. She just finished shooting a Steven Seagal movie called Marker and I am looking forward to seeing her in that.
i am also a huge fan of Renee Goldsberry. I became a huge fan whe they paired her with Cristian Vega. I loved the couple. i wish her all the best but i am hoping she comes back and gets with Cristian again
