KvIlle Or Snoozeville?

Fox got a head start on all the other networks by running their season premiere of shows this week.

Last night I watched the season premiere of K-Ville. Anthony Anderson plays a police officer in post-hurricane Katrina, New Orleans. You may recall a few months back I speculated whether or not this show would be good as Fox seems to be relying too heavily on a real life event to hype the show. Well, I was right.

While the show did a good job in the beginning of portraying the climate and mood of New Orleans two years after, the plot needed help as well Anderson's over acting. Not even the ending, where Anderson's character discovers his new partner (played by Cole Hauser) was actually incarcerated prior to the hurricane and after a narrow escape from drowning decides to start a new life on the right side of the law as a cop, was enough to make me want to watch another episode.

When Fox allowed folks to watch the entire season premiere of this show online a few weeks back, that should have been a clue.

Kville? More like Snoozeville. (2 stars)
