Congratualtions to the Redeem Team for their 101-70 win over China in the 2008 Beijing Olympics!
As well a big congratulations to Cullen Jones who along with teammates Micheal Phelps, Garrett Weber-Gale and Jason Lezak won the Olympic gold medal for their outstanding win of the 4x100 meter relay.
A native of my hometown, the Bronx, Jones is the third african american in history to qualify for the Olympics in swimming. And to think, as a child he once almost drowned.
Talk about overcoming one's fear.
