Comedian turned actor Bernard Jeffrey McCullough, better known as, Bernie Mac, died today from complications due to pneumonia.
A few years ago, Mac disclosed his battle with sarcoidosis. Sarcoidosis is a rare autoimmune disease that causes inflammation in tissue, most often in the lungs.
While Bernie Mac is best known for his stand-up, I was introduced to him by way of his popular sitcom, The Bernie Mac Show. Here are some funny clips from both his show and his stand up acts:
