Will Nick Bring 'Talent' To NBC?

Well look who found full-time work in this bad economy.

Musician, comedian, actor, producer and part-time chapperone to wife Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon has just inked a deal to host NBC's 'America's Got Talent'.

The news comes on the heels of last week's announcement that former host Jerry Springer would be stepping down as host.

While he is set to host the show in its upcoming fourth season, it seems NBC have some more plans in the works for Cannon.

Network chief Ben Silverman says there are "multiple projects we are looking to do with Nick at NBC."

I don't know how I feel about this just yet. I hope some of these 'multiple projects' include some acting roles. I can't hate on Cannon's hustle but at 28, I'd like to see him do more feature films and less of these hosting gigs.

The fourth season of America's Got Talent will air this summer. Check your local listing for times.

Nick is a bit corny but he has a proven track record in television. Hit shows on Nickolodeon and MTV are a good look for him.
