Seems CBS' Cane is not registering with folks as intended.
Three weeks into the new Fall season and we are already getting word of what shows will soon be ending up on the chopping block.
As reported by the New York Post, Cane for the third week in a row has lost the viewers most important to it's advertisers, 18-49 year-olds.
This of course comes as no surprise to me. If you recall [click here], I wasnt feeling this show when I previewed it back in August. It was obvious CBS execs were banking on Smits' adoring female fans tuning in to the snoozer just to catch a glimpse of his '
I highly doubt this show will make it to the season finale. And if it does, you can best believe it will be the series finale.
Stay tuned. Because I am sure there are a few more new (non-black) shows (Dirty Sexy Money, Caveman, Chuck) on the list to be chopped. Serves them right. Maybe next Fall these networks will consider adding a little more 'color' to their lineup and not just 'sugar'.
