Word on the street is 'Girlfriends' and '"The Game"' creator Mara Brock Akil is working on a new show for NBC to be titled, 'Making Friends'.
Based on the book, 'Making Friends With Black People', written by stand up comic, Nick Adams, the comedy will focus on two close male friends that view things differently large in part because they are different. With one character white and the other black, NBC hopes to capitalize off the race relations buzz in this country due to the most recent president elect of Barack Obama.
While I have dogged Mara's lack of creativity on her CWTV sitcoms, I have to say I'm happy to hear of this upgrade. This is definitely a good look for her and possibly the future of black tv.
I think it's time I finished my script and get to talking to NBC!
