The Al Reynolds You Don't Care To Know?

Star Jones' ex-husband (to-be), Al Reynolds wants to you to get to know him.

Reynolds released three heavily edited and scripted clips of a self interview on youtube today for the sole purpose of letting you, America, get to know the real him.

Some quick highlights for the readers who can't watch videos at work. Reynolds says...
"There are days when i'm like, 'Wow.' I still wear my ring. It hasn't settled in yet. I still love her,"
"I am not a homosexual,....But the thing is, it's weird to me and really kind of upsetting to me that that's where people would go as it relates to my sexuality, because this has affected my professional life, this has affected my personal life, and if anyone knew the damage it has caused me, they would understand why I'm very aggressive about this."
"When you read about me in the paper, it's always as Star Jones' ex-husband. I want people to know that I'm more than just Star Jones' ex-husband. I'm Al Reynolds."

Here are the remaining clips:

Gossip Friday: Oprah's Blond Moment and Star Fires Back At Babs

Happy Newlyweds

So turns out all the gossip last week over Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon's elopement was actually all truth.

This week photos of the happy couple circulated the internet made possible by People Magazine who got the inside scoop on the wedding. Even Oprah had to add to the talk on a live show this week where she comments on overlooking some of the clues while interviewing Mariah just the week before.

Oprah was clearly having a blond moment. She could have broken that scoop a week earlier if she just had paid more attention to the clues.

Anyhoo...

Last week we polled BONTV on how long you think the Nariah nuptials will last and we have a tie.

36% of voters feel the Nariah wedding will last either 2 weeks or 6-12 months while 27% of voters feel it will only last 1 month.

Well, for those of you who voted 2 weeks, we will know in just 1 more week if you were right. I personally dont think this will last any longer than a year.

And who's ready for a cat fight?

Star Jones has thrown the first punch scratch at Barbara Walters who earlier this week confessed to Oprah that Star made her lie.

Star tells UsWeekly:

"It is a sad day when an icon like Barbara Walters, in the sunset of her life, is reduced to publicly branding herself as an adulterer, humiliating an innocent family with accounts of her illicit affair and speaking negatively against me all for the sake of selling a book. It speaks to her true character,"

Ouch!

Don't hold back Star. Tell us how you really feel.

That's all folks! Have a great weekend!

Babs Tells Of 'Black' Secrets

Barbara Walters definitely got some cool points after admitting to Oprah on yesterday's show that she once had an affair with married black politician, Sen. Edward Brooke.

"He was a wonderful man and a wonderful senator. … I have always felt that I perhaps ruined his future," Walters told Winfrey. "I regret that he didn't get re-elected. So if you ask me if I regret it, yes."

Do you regret the sex too Babs? Enquiring minds want to know.

Anyhoo...

Barbara also spoke about having to lie for Star Jones when she was on ABC's The View . Apparently Star originally had planned to tell everybody how she was losing the weight on an episode of 20/20 but then at the last minute decided not to, asking Barbara not to reveal that she had undergone gastric bypass surgery to anybody.
“We had to lie on the set everyday,” Walters told Winfrey. “She was our colleague and she really did not want us to out her … We cared about her, and we thought we owed her.” Instead, Jones told audience members at the time she had lost weight because of “portion control and pilates.”

I'm still trying to figure out who didnt know Star underwent the knife to shed all those pounds.

Barbara Walters was on The Oprah Winfrey Show to promote her new book, Auditions.

Star Jones Calls It Quits!

I normally don't like to get caught up in black on tv gossip but Star Jones has been the topic of a few posts on BONTV, so why not?

Yes, its seems former co-host of ABC's The View, Star Jones has indeed filed for a divorce from Al Reynolds after close to four years of marriage.

Jones cites:

"Several years ago I made an error in judgment by inviting the media into the most intimate area of my life. A month ago I filed for divorce. The dissolution of a marriage is a difficult time in anyone's life that requires privacy with one's thoughts. I have committed myself to handling this situation with dignity and grace and look forward to emerging from this period as a stronger and wiser woman."
Star did more than just 'invite the media'...she damn near beat the media over the head with a bat and dragged them to the wedding.

Incidentally, Star Jones self-entitled talk show on Court TV was cancelled.

Oh, how this 'star' has fallen.

What's Star 'Talking' About?

"If you are talking about it at home with your friends and family I'll be talking about it here with my guests."

This is how Star Jones opened her new self entitled talk show on Court TV yesterday.

The show's format is nothing new as talk shows of this kind are now a dime a dozen.

She kicks off the show with her version of The View's Hot Topics, called "The Wrap Sheet". Here Star chats up current events with a panel of folks. Yesterday's panel consisted of Geraldo Rivera and Rene Syler (both in New York) and Access Hollywood's Shaun Robinson shooting from Los Angeles. Topics discussed? Rudy Guiliani's relationship with his kids; Britney Spears baby mama drama; dogfighter Michael Vick's plea deal and some other stuff.

As I mentioned before, Isaiah Washington was to be her first guest. In the pre-recorded interview, Washington revealed his father had been murdered when he was only 13.

Star closed the show yesterday with the "Open Letter". This is where she talked about the importance of second chances and was not too proud to include herself as an example.

I don't know how I feel about this new addition to the already over populated world of talk shows just yet. What are your thoughts?

'Star Jones' Rumored To Beat A Dead Horse!

Star Jones' new show on Court TV debuts next week and it was reported/rumored by Page Six that she plans to interview cry baby, Isaiah Washington, about him getting canned by ABC's Grey's Anatomy for the first show.

Now what spin does Star plan to put on this already over discussed topic? I hope this is a rumor because having Washington on for the first show sucks.

"Star Jones" premieres on Court TV, Monday at 3 p.m. EDT.
